Aidan's ability to motivate and inspire groups of performers is remarkable! He has served as musical director for numerous choirs, musical societies and theatre groups from Lanark to London. Aidan's involvement with local community art groups has allowed him to create and encourage new and innovative performances and tours.
In the past years, Aidan has directed productions for Trinity College of Music Student Theatre Group, Imperial College Operatic Society, Nonsuch Historical Dance Group, Rude Mechanical Touring Theatre Company, Lanark Amateur Musical Society (LAMS) and numerous youth musical groups.
Strathaven Choral Society
Since 2003, Aidan has served as musical director for Strathaven Choral Society and has brought a fresh new approach to the group's
direction. His encouragement brought about the choirs' first international exchange. In June 2004, the choir hosted the Haderslev
Lærerkoir (Teachers' Choir) from Haderslev, Denmark and in April 2005 returned the visit to make their first tour abroad.
The trip was a huge success and the society look forward to initiating their second exchange as they welcome a choir from Tumba, Sweden in May 2007, with a reciprocated visit in 2008.
Independent Community Entertainment (ICE)
Aidan began working with ICE in January 2004. Through his musical directing he has had the opportunity to share his professional
experience with the dedicated young people of the group. After a wonderfully successful "Sweet Charity" in Summer 2006, Aidan
is currently working with the group to bring their "Something for the Weekend" to the stage in April 2007.
